- A physician license is a generalist license and once licensed they can practice in any area they want. Board certification is not required.
- The "no harm, no foul" rule does not apply in determining standard of care. This is not a malpractice case; it is a determination about meeting an objective standard.
- Physicians can delegate treatments under supervision to anyone they deem trained and capable. They have full responsibility for these actions. They cannot delegate prescriptive authority except to those who are licensed themselves, i.e. PAs and APRNS.
